2nd Web Site Critique

Fifa World Cup Site

What can I say about this site, it is technically suberb.

It is in 7 different languages. The top menu bar is 'always' visible, links are ever highligted or underlined on focus. Text resizes in IE6 and obviously firefox.

All the links work, navigation for a very large site is easy, there is also a 'help' section which contains no images, recommends IE5 as minimum. The site 'works' because it's size is fixed. There is some scrolling required, but I m sure users would put up with thos as it is only minimal.

As a 'shop' it only requires login at the point of sale, this does work as I have been lucky enough to buy tickets online.

5 out of 5

PS There must be some elements/ideas worth nicking!!

Allan, The site looks well thought out, however one of great interest to me I am afraid.

All the links are good and I also like the multi language options.

I wonder Howe much this site cost to produce and maintain!

I would rate it at 4.
Although I guess you’re biased

Hi Allan

I think that this site evaluation is a good example of how we might have different criteria. For me a site which does not scale to different browsers can be difficult to use especially on smaller screen. So I will give it a 4/5.

Very true, also the over the top adversiing from Yahoo etc makes it look more of an unoffical site than the real thing.

The links menu with blue on blue could be a problem to read for VI people, however, it does have orange on dark grey which is almost the recommended yellow on black.

I'd give it 3.5 / 5 (would have been 4 but couldn't get my world cup tickets)
